Crafting into overtime...  

Wahhh I've been making felt sweets like there is no tomorrow! I have also finished the black and blue scarf but cannot seem to get a decent picture of it right now... I will keep trying.


I have also tried my hand at dyeing yarn with kool-aid and I must say, it is a very interesting process. :) Although I could not find any tempered glass to be able to boil, I did find some 100 yen balls of 100% wool at the 100 Yen Palace and so we decided to try it out on those first. I found a color chart as to what colors the yarn would come out to be and we settled on red and orange... :) More details inside...

ISE Scarf recieved!!!  
Although I never heard from the person I sent the scarf to... I recieved the scarf sent to me! It is soooo amazing! :D

I finally got that roll cake to behave so I've begun plowing away at it. I've also started a small scarf for "Bunnie" out of the left over purple yarn from the teddy bear/ISE scarf I knitted. I've only done three pattern sets so it does not warrent a picture yet. I'm plugging away at the black/blue cable scarf but I keep forgetting to get another picture of it. Will do when I finish the roll cake. :) 

I have an order from Amazon.jp coming in with two other felt books I wanted before I left (they gouge for them on ebay.)

Finished Projects!  
I took some more pictures of the truffles in a candy box and of the donuts wrapped up. I also finally got around to finishing that other arm for my poor knitted bear. :)

I also made a new donut... this one is much larger in compairson to the other two and sadly uses a LOT of felt. I started making another roll cake but I got mad at it as it is being uncooperative... so it is having a time out.

Donuts!  
I made some felt donuts this weekend! :D I'm still looking for another felt book to round out my collection. I can make sweets... I want veggies and other things. I'm going to try my hand at making my own pattern soon and will post the results.... O_O

More felt cakes and truffles!  
I finally have an update for you guys! I have enough truffles and another cake to update with. I am currently working on a donut but it is no where near the photo stage yet. I tried to take a picture of my black and blue scarf but it was too washed out for some reason so I will try again.

One more update!  

Just a quick update. I've been asked to be an ISE angel which means I would knit a scarf for someone if their partner backed out and did not send one to them. I cast on a blue cable scarf in 100% cotton held with a thin strand of super soft fuzzy acrylic. Being that I did not want to ship this home, it was a great use for it and if it is not needed by the end of the exchange, then I will just give it away here anyway. :)

Randy got his scarf from his partner today... I'm jealous. :p I have pictures of his scarf and of the scarf received. The picture does not do the scarf he received justice as it is a very muted very boy type scarf. It is nice. :D

That is it for today. I started making felt truffles but have not made enough to warrent a post yet. Will do soon. :)

Please note this is actually my first cable that I have persevered with. I have tried before but i gave up before finishing and this one is coming along nicely.

CAKE!!!  
Here is a couple of pictures of the felt cake I made for my grandmother's birthday (shh don't tell her! I just shipped it off today)

I'm kind of upset with how it turned out because I was rushed to get it finished to be able to send it to her on time. On the same token, I'm almost proud of it considering it is my first one. :D

Craft Book update!  
Wee I am still doing an odd craft here and there now that I finally sent off my ISE scarf. (YAY it's over!)

I wanted to share some of the crafting books I have picked up recently. For the craft event I held in late March, I was given gift cards to the local book store and what better to buy then books on crafting! :D So here we go a post with scans from the books!

One more time!  
Alright! I have another quick update. The teddy bear now as an arm. I know, he still needs another one.

Randy is still plowing away at the scarf. He bought 5 balls of yarn but we did some thinking last night and that would make the scarf well over 6 feet long. So, he is probably only going to do two more (for a total of 4 balls.) Pictures sometime after golden week.

Here are a couple of other things I have been doing! :D

Smallish update.  

I have not really been up to crafting much just lately but I have some fun stuff to post.

I finally heard back from the lady I am knitting for so I will be sending off her scarf shortly. Probably next week as I still have to write a letter to her explaining who I am ect.

Randy is still plowing away at his scarf. He had an accident on a couple of rows and got me to fix it for him but no big deal (not like I have not had my grandmother pull out oh, 5 or 6 rows for me on a lacy baby blanket... :D) Will post more pictures of his scarf as soon as he gets a bit further.
